HCI 594 – Touch-less gesture interfaces

Touch-less gesture interfaces

HCI 594 Capstone

by Nikola Ranguelov

Presented below is the majority of my research on touch-less gesture interfaces in a web format, involving embedded relevant videos showing the technologies described as well as links to a great number of my sources. The web version allows a richer presentation than what is possible with a Word document or a PDF since the videos are playable right on here.

Given that all the rage these days is around touch-screen interactions I couldn’t help it – I kept wondering what the next big technology and new sets of user interface rules would be. I realized that there are situations in which touching a physical screen isn’t the most optimal or most desired form of interaction.
